According to notable insider KC Walsh, Stargirl was originally supposed to be part of Black Adam. However, her role was cut off thanks to her Arrowverse series that is currently airing on The CW. It is likely that the film wouldn’t cast the show’s star Brec Bassinger to play the hero. Prior to the film’s production last year, there was a rumor first reported by The Hashtag Show that Stargirl was going to be part of the Justice Society of America. Obviously, between that time and its filming date, she was removed from the script as a result of the CW series.
It is interesting to hear that Stargirl was supposed to be part of the film since it would have resulted in a different dynamic for the Justice Society of America. However, it looks like the success of the CW series made them decide to cut her off in order to avoid any confusion and perhaps give more room to the other characters. Based on the first reactions to the new film, it looks like the Justice Society of America was able to have a great introduction with the five members that are part of the team. After all, if you wanna see Stargirl, you can watch her series, and, who knows, maybe they’ll actually introduce her to the DCEU in the future. The film’s logline reads: “Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the Egyptian gods—and imprisoned just as quickly—Black Adam is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.” Also Read: Dwayne Johnson Officially Welcomes Henry Cavill Back to the DCEU Black Adam is set to release in theaters this October 21.
