The announcement was made today via the anime’s official website and Twitter account. There, the link to the new trailer was shared, along with the show’s release info and songs. Check out the new trailer for the series here: Unlike other anime trailers which are typically on the shorter side, this latest Golden Kamuy Season 4 trailer is longer at nearly two minutes. It also showed off lots of new action scenes involving the series’ protagonists. The new trailer was also accompanied by snippets of the anime’s opening and ending songs. For the anime’s opening, ALI will perform the song “NEVER SAY GOODBYE” featuring Mummy-D. Anime fans will no doubt be familiar with ALI as this Japanese band performed the opening song “Wild Side” for Beastars Season 1, as well as the Jujutsu Kaisen ending song “Lost in Paradise”. Meanwhile, the season’s ending theme is “Subete ga Soko ni Arimasu You Ni” (I Pray That Everything Will be There) by THE SPELLBOUND.
Golden Kamuy Season 4 Release Date, Info
Golden Kamuy is a historical anime series that’s based on the manga of the same name by Satoru Noda. The manga was serialized in Weekly Young Jump from August 2014 to April 2022. The anime series’ first three seasons were animated by Geno Studio. For Season 4, anime studio Brain’s Base (To Your Eternity, In/Spectre) has taken over production duties. Its story follows Saichi Sugimoto, known as the “Immortal Sugimoto” for his savagery during the Russo-Japanese war. After the war, Sugimoto has taken to gold panning to provide for his dead comrade’s wife. Soon, he happens upon a mysterious traveler who tells him of an urban legend about the gold of the native Ainu people that was hidden away, with the only map to it being tattooed on the skins of escaped convicts. After meeting an Ainu girl named Asirpa in the forest, Sugimoto sets off with his new companion to find the gold. Though Asirpa is uninterested in gold and is instead seeking revenge for her father who was one of the betrayed Ainu miners in the legend. Golden Kamuy Season 4 will premiere on October 3, 2022, at 11 PM JST. Currently, there’s no word yet on where the season will stream outside Japan.
