Now, it looks like Lucasfilm is finally determined to bring “balance” to its film slate, perhaps in an effort to keep up with the momentum of Star Wars’ Disney+ shows. Deadline reports that a new feature film is currently in the works with the production outfit eyeing Deadpool 3 and Stranger Things director Shawn Levy to direct. Key details about the project are still being kept under wraps but according to the outlet, it will begin production after Levy is done with his Marvel and Netflix obligations. Still, Levy is going to be a great addition to the franchise and it’s almost safe to assume that he’s been waiting for this opportunity. Also Read: Lucasfilm Admits Star Wars Sequel Trilogy was Rushed; Blames Aggressive DeadlinesAccording to the latest reports, Lucasfilm’s next Star Wars film won’t come out until 2025 at the earliest.
