At the Content Marketing Summit 2022 held in Seoul, Yeon Jeong Kim, Global K-pop & K-Contents Partnership head, talked about Twitter’s influence on K-wave. Interestingly, besides Asian countries, America and the United Kingdom were also among the top countries tweeting the most about K-contents. These Twitter activities are based on January 1 to August 18, 2022, where South Korea topped the list, followed by Thailand, the U.S, the Philippines, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Brazil, Japan, and the United Kingdom. Landing at 11th to 20th place are Mexico, Canada, France, Vietnam, Spain, Singapore, Italy, Turkey, Germany, and Peru.

To recall, prior to its premiere, the Blinks and K-drama fans awaited the highly anticipated release of Snowdrop after it got embroiled in a controversy. Broker Tops Most Tweeted Korean Movie of 2022
It’s no surprise why Broker was named the most-talked about Korean movie of 2022. Apart from its successful theatrical release, the Koreeda Hirokazu-directed film was also among the competitors at the 75th Cannes Film Festival. Broker stars renowned actor Song Kang Ho, singer-actress IU, Kang Dong Won, Bae Doona, and Lee Joo Young. Interestingly, besides getting a standing ovation from the crowd during its worldwide premiere, Song Kang Ho, made history as the first South Korean actor who took home the Best Actor Award at the prestigious festival. Broker is followed by another movie that also made its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival 2022.
