Netflix has announced that Wednesday is set to premiere on November 23. In case you haven’t checked the calendar yet, the series is arriving on a Wednesday which is obviously the namesake of the title and the titular character. In addition, they also released a new poster where you can see Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Addams holding an umbrella under the rain. You can check it below:
The series is “a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.” Besides Ortega, the cast also includes Catherine Zeta-Jones, Gwendoline Christie, Luis Guzman, Christina Ricci, Isaac Ordonez, Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Percy Hynes White, Hunter Doohan, Georgie Farmer, Moosa Mostafa, Emma Myers, Naomi J. Ogawa, Joy Sunday, Victor Dorobantu, and George Burcea. Tim Burton serves as executive producer and directed four episodes. It is exciting to hear that we finally have the release date for the series as we can now mark our calendars for its arrival. The series is also expected to be featured at tomorrow’s Tudum event where they might show another trailer or exclusive clips.
