Momonosuke, Shinobu, and Yamato are still running away from the henchmen. Yamato tells Shinobu there is a large space on each floor of the castle where they can hide from the others. One of the Marys announces that the three are still on the run. Yamato and Shinobu defeat the enemies chasing after them. Momonosuke tells them he feels bad because he can only rely on others’ protection. Shinobu comforts him, assuring him he will be a great shogun someday. Due to his emotions, Momonosuke changes into his dragon form. Yamato learns that Momonosuke ate a Devil Fruit. He also notices Momonosuke’s resemblance to Kaido’s dragon form. Elsewhere, one of the CP0 shares information regarding Vegapunk’s man-made fruit made with Kaido’s Bloodline Elements. The Government wanted Vegapunk to hand it over, but since he saw it as a failure, it was left in Punk Hazard. At the Treasure Repository, Oden greets the Akazaya Nine. They are still surprised to see Oden, and Oden tells them he won’t quickly die from what happened in the past. Kiku has a flashback from her childhood with Oden. Oden thanks the samurai for their actions over the past twenty years. After mentioning that Toki will be happy to know he’s alive, Raizo and Ashura start doubting Oden’s identity. Ashura claims he’s an imposter, while Raizo reminds Kinemon of Toki’s power. Ashura attacks Oden, and Oden fights back. After Oden stabs Ashura, they confirm that Oden is an imposter. Denjiro and the others realize that Kanjuro created this drawing of Oden. Kiku apologizes to Ashura for not completely finishing off Kanjuro. Meanwhile, Yamato asks Momonosuke to return to his human form. Momonosuke tells him he has improved with controlling his abilities, especially after meeting Luffy and the others. Yamato wonders if Momonosuke’s powers would be similar to Kaido’s Devil Fruit abilities. Momonosuke gives a status update on Luffy and the others, which surprises Yamato and Shinobu. Luffy, Zoro, Kid, Killer, and Law continue to fight Kaido and Big Mom. The group starts thinking of alternate strategies. Law suggests they separate them from each other, and Zoro agrees. Meanwhile, Luffy looks at Kaido and states they have the upper hand in this battle.
