A new cast member has been added for Percy Jackson and the Olympians in a mystery role that plainly says, “chaperone,” with actor Ryan Cowie from Monster Trucks, has been credited for two episodes, and everyone is baffled as to who he may be. Throughout the Percy Jackson and the Olympians book series, there’s no character that has been called as the chaperone because usually, it is the job of the satyrs to be the chaperone of a demigod, and other usual chaperones are already cast like Mr. Brunner and Mrs. Dodds. In the journey of Percy, Annabeth, and Grover, they went out in search for the Lightning Bolt of Zeus on their own as their quest, and they travelled without a chaperone, none at all.

Given that there are only two episodes where the chaperon appeared, it could most likely be in the first two episodes, or from when Percy was still a dyslexic student in school under the tutelage of Mr. Brunner, or the chaperone could be with them while in their field trip to a museum where Percy first encounters a Fury. Walker Scobell headlines the series as Percy Jackson and he will be joined by Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth Chase, Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood, Glynn Turman as Chiron/ Mr. Brunner, Dior Goodjohn as Clarisse La Rue, and Charlie Bushnell as Luke Castellan. Percy Jackson and the Olympians also cast the Greek gods with Jay Duplass as Hades, Lin-Manuel Miranda as Hermes, Adam “Edge” Copeland as Ares, Timothy Omundsen as Hephaestus, and Jason Mantzoukas as Mr. D/ Dionysus. The series will also see Jessica Parker Kennedy as Medusa, Virginia Kull as Sally Jackson, Percy’s mother, Suzanne Cryer as Echidna, Megan Mullally as Ms. Dodds/ Alecto, Timm Sharp as Gabe Ugliano, the stepfather of Percy, and Olivea Morton as Nancy Bobofit. Percy Jackson and the Olympians has no release date yet but it is expected to arrive in 2024.
