When this information was first disclosed, fans had various speculations and theories about who the other time leaper might be. Some fans assumed that it might be Mikey, Sanzu, or Hanma. But is it really one of them, or is it an unexpected character?
Who Is the Other Time Leaper?
The first time leaper in Tokyo Revengers is not Takemichi Hanagaki but a homeless man with long black hair. He usually wears a dirty robe and carries a small cart with him. The ability to travel in time drove him crazy as it is not easy. He then met Shinichiro Sano who shared that he wanted to save his brother. The homeless man humiliated Shinichiro, driving the former gang member to murder the former to acquire his time-leaping ability. This means that the other time leaper is Shinichiro. Despite how he acquired the ability, he only used it once to save his younger brother, Manjiro. Shinichiro was successful in saving his brother and eventually, he passed the power to Takemichi after saving him from bullies. ALSO READ: How Strong Is Takemichi in Tokyo Revengers?
Why Did Shinichiro Time Travel?
Even before the series began, Shinichiro had already changed the timeline of the story. It was revealed that Shinichiro used the time leap ability to save Mikey from a tragic end which eventually led to his death in the current timeline. Although Shinichiro saved Mikey from a tragic accident, it seems that this caused him to turn into a dark person. There’s a theory that the reason Takemichi was chosen as the new bearer of the time leap ability is that Shinichiro knew that Takemichi could finish the job he started and help Mikey live a new and happy life. Another theory is that Shinichiro knew that he and Takemichi are alike and so, the latter is worthy of the ability as he will use it for good. There are still a lot of mysteries surrounding Shinichiro, so fans might want to read the recently concluded manga to uncover more truths about him and the story as a whole.
