The series’s second season premiered on November 2022, and just like the first season, it ended with an irresistible cliffhanger that gets us begging for more.
Potential Warrior Nun spoilers up ahead
Warrior Nun follows the story of young Ava, who died but was brought back to life when she became the unwilling holder of the Halo. As the holder of the holy relic, she became a part of a super-secret order of highly-specialized nuns trained in combat, tasked to protect the Church and the Earth from all evil threatening to destroy the peace. Ava begins the story struggling to accept her fate, but she soon embraces who she was meant to be. We meet the other nuns, the members of the Order of the Cruciform Sword, the magical priests, and other members of the Church who work with the Warrior Nun. We also meet Adriel, the otherworldly entity who awards the Halo to Sister Areala, making her the first ever warrior nun. Originally introduced as an angel, we learn the truth about him by the end of season 1 - Adriel is actually a demon who has other plans to take over the world. Ava worked with the nuns, the priests, and other significant characters like Miguel, to stop Adriel from bringing hell on earth in season 2. Through some stealing, some baiting, and committing the ultimate sacrifice, Ava faces off with Adriel. She ultimately defeats him by summoning the Tarasks. In the final battle, the Warrior Nun uses a combination of relics against Adriel, with the Divinum Sword being the most prominent. But what is the Divinum Sword?
What is the Divinum Sword?
The Divinum Sword is the primary weapon the Warrior Nun yields. When used together with other holy relics, the Divinum Sword can cause damage and even fatally harm otherworldly entities like demons and Adriel. The Divinum Sword can cause harm both ways, though, because it is also the only weapon that can damage the Warrior Nun. It has a metal hilt with a round metal ball at the bottom. The rain guard (or the part that separates the hilt from the blade) is also metal with a halo that crosses from the hilt, through the rain guard, up to the blade, which is made of Divinum.

What is Divinum?
Divinum is an organic, constructive material that is exceedingly rare. Legends say that the material came from Adriel’s armor when he came to Earth to revive Areala. When Ava visited Adriel’s prison, she found that the walls are made of pure Divinum. She also found the remains of a Tarask in the prison wall, which she observed were also made of pure Divinum. Sister Beatrice theorizes that the Tarask’s remains were the true source of Divinum, and it died as it was trying to capture Adriel.
Why did the Sword Glow at the End of Warrior Nun Season 2?
Warrior Nun Season 2 ends with Ava benig fatally injured and the only thing they can do to keep her alive is to let her go through the portal. Beatrice and Lilith carry her there and they say their goodbyes before she travels through. Beatrice leaves the nuns, but then we see the Sword glow blue. It is still not clear what the glow means, but the best theory so far is that it means Ava is alive and trying to contact the nuns.
