Through the post-credits scene, fans get a hint of what’s to come in the next installment of the franchise. And sometimes, there’s really no hint to look out for but just to see the characters hanging out at the end eating shawarma. Now that the release date of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is coming up, let’s figure out how many post-credits scenes there will be. After all, the film wraps up the MCU’s Phase Four.
How Many Post-Credits Scenes Will Be In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever?
Unfortunately, things will be different for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. In an interview with Collider, film producer Nate Moore addressed this question and said that they never planned to include a post-credits scene for the film. The executive also addressed the rumors that there will be a Dr. Doom end-credit scene. “I’ve heard those rumors, too. No, I think the subject matter of the film was such that it didn’t feel appropriate to have, then, a stinger. Much like [Avengers:] Endgame felt like an emotional experience that you also didn’t need a stinger at the end of this. This felt like we just wanted to tell the story as it was conceived without an added bonus. So, unfortunately, there isn’t an end credits [scene].”
This is in reference to the untimely demise of Chadwick Boseman, who the entire cast of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever continues to grieve over today.
What Happens Next In The MCU?
The absence of a post-credits scene at the end of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever does not really affect the film. It’ll be a hard tradition for avid fans but much of the future of the MCU is already hinted at throughout the 2 hours and 40 minutes runtime of the film. Plus, early reviewers have already shared that the film is very emotional. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be released in theaters on November 11, 2022. You can watch the trailer here:
